Who is ASCA?
ASCA is a unique not-for-profit association of over 8,500 Australian schools focused on maximising purchasing effectiveness and financial outcomes for its members. Our surplus funds assist Australian charities that support the education of vulnerable children.
What services does ASCA provide?
ASCA member schools have access to expert advice on selecting the best value suppliers across a wide range of categories. Most ASCA recommended suppliers offer exclusive discounts and value-added services to member schools. Similar support is available for school canteens, including guidance on canteen suppliers, tailored operational advice, and outsourcing solutions.
How does ASCA choose suppliers?
ASCA gathers recommendations from its member schools, conducts thorough market research to identify the best value suppliers for the education sector, and negotiates additional benefits to deliver even greater value for member schools. All ASCA partner suppliers are carefully vetted, extensively researched, and come highly recommended and trusted.
Do member schools have to buy from ASCA suppliers?
Using ASCA suppliers is completely optional. It’s advisable to work with the local distributor recommended by ASCA, as most negotiated discounts with food and beverage manufacturers apply only when products are supplied through the recommended distributor.
What are the benefits of member schools?
ASCA recommends the best value suppliers for schools that already have a proven track record in the education sector, saving schools time and effort when selecting suppliers. ASCA members enjoy the most competitive prices and conditions from these trusted suppliers, many of whom offer exclusive benefits for members. By purchasing from ASCA recommended suppliers, schools indirectly help fund programs that support the education of vulnerable children. In addition, ASCA Area Managers provide schools and canteens with independent, reliable information and guidance.

How does ASCA support charities?
ASCA’s purpose is to help schools improve purchasing efficiency and canteen profitability, while also supporting the education and welfare of vulnerable children. As a not-for-profit, ASCA directs its annual surplus funds and profits to registered charities that support educational outcomes and wellbeing for vulnerable children. Since 1979, we’ve raised over $11 million for charities dedicated to helping these children. Funds are managed through the ASCA Education Foundation (AEF) Trust to ensure they go to causes aligned with our mission.
